Coaching n that

A quick post to update you on the football , as thats what we're supposed to be doing!

Its all good.... getting to know the kids really well, and even the senior team have warmed to us now. Basically we are coaching the seniors in the morning for 2-3 hours then from about 3.30-4pm to 6pm coaching the 17's, 14's and 12's, which we've split. George is basically taking the 12's and 14's while Neil is taking the 17's.
The unders 12's and 14's are phenomenal, some great talent out there; Inzaghi, Saviola, Joe cole Lampard and Thomas who has just been for a trial for a big team, we don't know how he has got on yet but seems to stand out more than the others. Big smiles and bigger tackles some days, you wouldn't know they were supposed to be team mates!! all friends at the end of training though.

With the under 17's the training is really paying off and can really see it coming together when they play a match. You wouldn't beleive some of the kids are jsut 15 and 16, all of them ripped and have so many skills. Some of them can do things with the ball we didn't think possible; Amar, Vincent, Jingo and Omariq standout above the crowd.

All in all traing is going very well. We probably said at some point we'd have a chance to go teaching in the local schools but because we are training for a tournament at the end of the month, there really hasn't been much time as we would have to take a day off to go and do that, which the othjer coaches, although would understand I think they would prefer we concentrate on the football. Saying that we have been helping the neighbourhood kids out with some of their homework. I (george) have even been doing french which is quite amazing as I thought i'd forgotten it all. Feels good to help out though.
